If you have found this article, then you probably are in a state of panic because your Instagram account has been disabled, hacked, removed, or all of the above. I found myself in this situation a few months prior to writing this and it was extremely frustrating and disheartening. One day, I was loving my view from Corfu Island in Greece sharing a typical Instagram story when I was greeted with the window of death (from the picture below).

Don’t worry, all hope is not lost. I went through the same crazy experience after my Instagram account was hacked and disabled by Instagram. It took me months of appealing with Instagram/Facebook, sending in countless “selfies” of myself posing with a verification code, filling out endless forms, and just really giving up on everything.

After many months of trying every method known to man, I was finally able to recover my account. It took four months in the end and what brought it back was actually quite easy and straight forward (Hint: Sending a ridiculous picture of you holding up an embarrassing piece of paper does absolutely nothing).
I thought I would never be able to post stories or share photos again. Thankfully, I got it back in time just before I had my multi-month trip through Thailand and my all time favorite, Bali.

I will go into detail on exactly what worked and what didn’t work for me step by step. Take a deep breath, and hopefully this will work for you too!
Update Q3/Q4 2022: This method still works and everyone has different success rates with getting through to the Facebook Chat function. Facebook has made it more difficult to access Facebook Chat Support.
Update Q1/Q2 2023: This Method is still working as referenced by the data points below. Please use the comments section and the various success stories from my other readers in addition to this article to guide your process. Good luck!
Update Q2 2024: This method is still working as evidenced by recent data points of people having success. The layouts and pictures might have changed slightly but the general process remains the same!
Please leave questions in the comments section of this post!
After reading this post, you might still have questions or concerns because this is such a delicate process. Please leave all questions in the comments below and please DO NOT message me on Instagram or Facebook. I receive countless messages a day and I will not be answering them!
As well, please ignore any comments that promote contacting someone via telegram/whatsapp/email etc. These are 100% spam and there is no one that can bring your account back no matter how much money you throw away besides yourself. I want the comments to be open and useful but I can’t always catch these spammers right away.
Getting your Instagram account hacked or disabled
Personally, Instagram is not something I’m heavily invested in. I like the media and memory creation part of Instagram but I am nowhere near popular enough to monetize or make anything professional off of it. Instagram has always been a place for me to just store my memories and showcase nice photography.
Instead, I make money from blogging through other means which you can read about in my how much money I made blogging in 2023 post and how I achieved financial independence because of this.
However I do know that many people have way more followers than me and do make somewhat of a living off of Instagram. When it is all taken away in the snap of a finger, it feels like you’ve lost a part of yourself. It’s a feeling no one wants to be in!

Getting your Instagram account disabled or deactivated can feel like the end of the world. You’ve worked hard on your account, building your followers/brand, and in a few seconds, your account is no longer available.
You didn’t even have time to back up your photos! It might seem like all hope is lost but that is not the case. Do not panic just yet!
Did you violate the Instagram terms of service?
The first thing you need to ask yourself is if you really did violate the terms of services with Instagram? Are you posting things that are totally against the rules of Instagram and are you breaking the law with anything. If this is the case, you probably have more to worry about than just Instagram.
Things that violate their terms of services are the following:
- Using an automation tool to like/comment on content aggressively or to follow/unfollow users
- Buying likes and fake followers
- Selling or buying accounts
- Creating duplicate accounts
- Posting inappropriate content
- Infringing on someone’s creations
- Using Instagram if you are under 13 years old
- Selling or promoting illegal products or services
- Using broken or banned hashtags
- Writing more than 60 comments in an hour—or 30 if your account is new
- Sending the same messages or posting the same comments
- Using violent, aggressive, or offensive language
A lot of it I think has to do with purchasing likes, followers, etc. However, everyone and their mother who aspires to make Instagram fame has purchased likes at some point. This may be the reason you’re banned, but it is likely not a permanent thing.
How do you know you’re banned from Instagram?
Getting banned from Instagram can happen to anyone. Big account, small account, 100,000 followers or 100 followers. There is no rhyme or reason. Sometimes you just get banned and you didn’t even do anything.
Your account has been disabled message
If your account has been disabled, you will open your app, and you’ll automatically be redirected to a page like this.

This is the first sign that bad things are happening to you. You’ll then click the button to verify you’re not a robot, fill out a few questions and then you’ll get to the next step.
Thank you for providing your info
This is the next step after you’ve completed the form. You’ll get a message saying the following:

Once you get to this point, you are at the mercy of Instagram to actually review your account. They say it will take up to 24 hours.
They are lying!!!
It definitely will take much longer than 24 hours and it’s likely you’ll never hear from INstagram again. Think about it, they have millions and millions of accounts and they provide a free service. How many resources do you think they’ve allocated to help review every single case of something questionable happening?
Once you get to this step, I compare it to sending your CV for a job application during a bad jobs market. You send your resume into the job and you have no idea where it goes, who reads it, or if is even read at all. You’re stuck there for days and weeks wondering if anyone saw it. Eventually, you are resigned to the fact that no one read it and you’ll not be getting the job.
You can no longer login to your INstagram account
After the thank you for providing your info message, you’ll then just be taken back to the standard INstagram login screen. You can try logging back into your account and you’ll get something like this:

This is unfortunately the first step you’ll see after your Instagram account disabled. Once you click learn more, you’ll come to the next page.
What if your Instagram account is hacked?
WHen it comes to no longer accessing your Instagram account, disabled and hacked are kind of the same thing. If your Instagram account has been hacked, the hacker isn’t going to leave you a nice note saying, sorry I hacked your account and you can’t use it now.
No, what happens is they will hack your account, and probably do a bunch of questionable things that violate Instagram policy. Instagram’s automatic controls will then ban your account because you’re caught doing sketchy things. In the end, you get to the same result where you’re asked to verify your account and then never hear from Instagram again.
What does NOT work to get your Instagram account back after it’s been disabled?
Once you click learn more about why your account is disabled. You will eventually reach a page where you can fill out a form to “dispute” your banning from Instagram. The link to restore a deactivated Instagram account is here.

You can fill out your form and you can write an essay for why you’re appealing the ban but in the end, you’ll end up at the same step as everyone else.
Facebook Support Email asking for a photo of yourself
You’ll receive an email from Facebook like the below. It will ask you to take a picture of yourself holding up a piece of paper with handwritten text of the code they provide you, your Instagram handle, and your name.

This is their way of supposedly verifying that you are you. If your Instagram does not have photos of yourself, it’s fine, they just need to see someone holding the photos. I would not get too fancy with the photos and just do your best to look natural. This is what I did.

I sent this email out hoping they would come to their senses.
No response for months from INstagram
After waiting weeks upon weeks, I never heard anything from Instagram. I even emailed them back to follow up on my original email with my photo. I’ve read many blogs that say don’t do this as well as others that say do it. The blogs that don’t recommend it claim that every time you send an email to the support, it resets your place in line for someone to actually look at your request.
I’m not sure which is true or not but I can safely say that after 3 months of waiting, I heard not a single peep from Instagram.
I filled out other forms as well on Instagram like this one which actually asks for a photo of your Government ID. Here is the direct link. And here is a photo of what it looks like:

You might think that this form looks more legit but I can say that I filled out this form once (probably twice) and I still heard nothing.
Nothing worked for me.
This is not to say that it won’t work for you, but I’m saying from personal experience it was all hopeless. Not only did you feel like a total fool for sending ridiculous photos of yourself to a mailbox that I’m positive no one checks, but you got zero response.
Now that you’ve taken a ridiculous picture of yourself and realized it doesn’t work to get your INstagram account back, what does work? This is covered in the next section!
What works to restore your Instagram account: Facebook Support
After months of frustration, I was ready to call it quits. I figured, I had already created another account with just a fraction of my previous followers. However, I never intended to use Instagram for anything more than just a place to post my pictures and memories. However, that account also got hacked and disabled!! I knew I had to do something.
Facebook owns Instagram as you already know and you would think for such a massive company, they would have better customer service than just sending a selfie with you holding a piece of paper.
It turns out that Facebook does have support, quite good support at that. You just need to pay for it. Yes, you’ll need to pay some money to get your Instagram account back.
Why you ask?
Because the Facebook Support is meant specifically for those that advertise. Remember, Facebook’s a business, a huge one at that and they make their money from people paying to advertise. They are a publicly traded company and their first and most important goal is making money. No one cares about your personal Instagram account, that is until you start paying something for it. The support team is meant to deal with issues pertaining to actual advertising and business, but they just also happen to deal with disabled Instagram account.
I will walk you through everything step by step for the next steps. Note that this could change at any point so hopefully by the time you read this, Facebook support still helps people with their Instagram account. As of now, this is the only method that works in how to reactivate your Instagram account
Step 1: Create a business account on Facebook or Instagram
The first step after getting your Instagram account disabled is to create a business account on Facebook or Instagram. Since your Instagram account has been disabled, it’s probably easier to just create an account on Facebook to get this done.
I already had a Facebook Page (Johnny Africa obviously) where I had previously boosted ads before. You can find the URL for your Facebook Profile here. The first step is to create a new Facebook Page:

You’ll be redirected to a page like this where you can add your Page name, category, description etc. Add a few photos and just make it into something simple.

Now you’re done, you’ve officially created a new page. Now I would just simply post a few photos here on this page or even a link to a reputable news source.
You don’t need to a blog like mine to create an Facebook page.
Step 2: Post an ad on Facebook or Instagram
The next step is to post an ad. You can simply use one of the pictures, links, or posts you created in the step above. Your next step is to boost this post which means you’re buying ads/promoting this post.
The process is quite easy and straight forward.

You’ll need to select a few things like the demographics you’re targeting. However, the purpose of this is not to actually buy ads. It’s simply to get the option to talk to Facebook Support. If you don’t buy this ad, there is no option to talk to them.

I spent $5.00 on my ad which will be enough to turn on the Facebook Support feature.
Wait until your credit card has been charged
Once you’ve completed the ad set up, the next step is to let the ad run its course. This will take a day or two before you actually have some ad statistics. You’ll want to wait until your credit card has been charged. This will turn on the Facebook Support feature.
Step 3: Talk to Facebook Support
Finally, you’ve created a business Facebook account, successfully posted an ad, and your credit card has been changed. Make sure to wait a few days until after your ad has been posted and for your credit card to be charged otherwise you will not be able to access the following page.
Step 3.1 – Start up Facebook Support

On the next page, scroll to the bottom and click the Get started button on support. Remember, this will only show up once you’ve paid for ads. If you just posted your ad, you will not see the below feature at all.

Then the next steps are to hit Contact Advertising Support.

The next part is tricky. I have a Facebook page as well as a personal account. I tried the support multiple times choosing different accounts, and the one that worked for me was the Facebook Page. I don’t think this actually matters however.

On the next page, you’ll select the reason you’re looking for support. I selected my Facebook page was hacked or taken over by someone else. It was not my Facebook page that was hacked, but my Instagram account. It doesn’t matter because Facebook support can troubleshoot and help you with both options.

Finally, you’re almost there. You just need to provide some contact information:

There you go, now you can finally talk to a live human being. Once you click start chat, you will be redirected to Facebook Messenger where you can talk to support.
Step 3.2 – Plead your case with Facebook Support
Facebook Support is the only method that worked for me to get my account back. Nothing else did at all. I sent in who knows how many selfies to no avail. This is the only method that worked for me. After having my Instagram account disabled, this is the most important step.
Once you start your conversation, be professional, courteous and state your problem clearly. Do not give them any reason to actually ban you. Just say that you think your account has been disabled incorrectly because of x,y,z.’ Once you start your conversation, be professional, courteous and state your problem clearly. Do not give them any reason to actually ban you. Just say that you think your account has been disabled incorrectly because of x,y,z.
Facebook Support is a bit of a crap shoot. You never know who you’re going to get as your support representative. It turns out that some people are much more helpful than others.
After reading other blogs and watching numerous YouTube videos, I learned that it might take you a few tries to get this to work.
For my first conversation, you can read it here.

As you can see, Andrea wasn’t so helpful. She told me that I had already done the required steps and that it was being reviewed. Simply, I had to wait for Instagram to get around to it.
Use a US VPN: Another trick that has helped many has been to talk to the US support reps at Facebook. People have had more success talking to US representatives. All you need to do is simply use a VPN and connect to a US IP.
Step 3.3 – Try, try again
I knew this was not the answer I was looking for because it had already been almost four months so nothing was going to change. I simply just ended the chat and started up another support request.

Beatriz was slightly more helpful but essentially just told me to go to links I had already visited countless times. These are the same links that tell you to submit some information that no one will look at. I tried to tell her I had done these same things but to no effect. She wasn’t buying any of it.
I ended the chat and tried one more time.
The third time I struck gold:

As you can see, Adam was the ultimate homie. He knew right away what the issue was and knew exactly who to escalate it to. I didn’t even explain my case and he already knew which department to bring it up to. He told me it would take 24-48 hours to complete and for me to wait until it was done.
I said thank you and around 50 hours later, my Instagram account was revived!!!!! Wow.

What a process but I’ve recovered my account successfully!!
Bonus Step: Instagram Support courtesy of Jess
From the numerous comments I’ve received on this post, here is the success story of one of my readers Jess who was able to access Facebook Support via the Instagram shopping page, a slightly different process than what I found. Pictures and screenshots below after the text.
In the process of looking to regain access to my IG account, came across this blog post, and it has been a truly helpful beacon of advice, kindness, support, and current up to the moment happenings! All things that have been greatly, greatly appreciated!
Through trying the contact method Johnny described, I have been able to contact and chat with members of Facebook/Meta team! It has been very exciting to have the option to chat! Just wanted to mention how the chat option appeared for me, in case it could help anyone else (as Facebook and Meta pages have moved around and changed formats sometimes).
I have a Page created on FB for my business, and have run an ad previously, a couple years ago. (I tried running one again when I was trying the above method, though I dont think my payment method ever got charged, so not sure if it went through. so a bit tough to say if that new ad helped the button to appear, or if it was from an earlier time).
I went to this page for Instagram Shopping help, scrolled down 3/4 of the page, and clicked on the button that said “Get Started in Commerce Manager“. https://business.instagram.com/shopping
This brought up my Facebook Commerce Manager hub, and “Commerce Accounts“. None were listed there, so I clicked on “Cant Find A Shop, Switch Accounts“. This brought up a drop down menu that let me click on my newly created “Business Account“ (appeared different than “Your Account“). Now I could view my shop account listed, with its ID number. I clicked that, and it led me to my Commerce Manager Overview. (There may be other pathways to arrive at this page, this is how I got there 🙂
On the right side, there was a link that said “Need help?
Learn more about setting up and managing your shop.“
This brought up a window of “5 Recommended Articles“, and under that, was..“Contact Facebook Support“ (!!) Yayy 🙂
From here, it asked me to select a topic, I went with “Technical Issue“, and then “Instagram“.
I was able to speak with a lovely representative who went above and beyond to help me with my question.
Its been so amazing to be able to speak with someone directly about my account, and I just wanted to share how the button appeared for me in case it could help one find it as well 🙂

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
So now that you know how I got my account back, now you probably have a million questions and are eager to get started on your own. I’ll summarize everything here and hopefully this will help you prepare for your own adventure (yes it really is an adventure)
Who gets their Instagram account disabled?
While Instagram says you will get your account disabled or deactivated because you violated the terms of use. However, this isn’t always the case. Instagram’s algorithm is still AI in the end and anything can trigger this without warning.
Anyone can have their account disabled, even if you did nothing wrong. It’s a very common problem that no one cares to think about until it actually happens to them! Don’t think that just because you’re well behaved and have always followed the rules that you’re exempt!
There’s a high chance that your account was disabled for no reason or the wrong reason. However, there is no quick support where you can just rectify the situation in a timely fashion. You can try the normal steps that Instagram gives you (like sending in the selfie image of yourself) but it’s more likely than not that it won’t fix the situation.
Does this work for personal and business Instagram accounts?
Yes. This method of Facebook Support works if your Instagram account is business or personal. My account (@johnny.africa) was a personal account. I’ve since changed it to a business account because I think ultimately, this has a higher chance of success by making it higher priority the next time something like this happens.
What if I did buy likes or buy followers on my Instagram?
This is against Instagram rules for sure and it’s grounds for banning. If you’ve been warned by Instagram before, and keep engaging in inflating your account, then they will for sure ban you. However, you can appeal using the same method as above and you’ll be at the mercy of Facebook support. If they bring this up, you can deny it all you want but they have the tools and wherewithal to know what you did.
Does Instagram actually completely delete your account?
I was worried about this at first. The message you receive once your account has been disabled is that Instagram has removed your account. I thought for sure that I lost everything and it was forever gone. Turns out, this is not the case. Instagram stores all your pictures and stories for a long time. It’s never completely gone which means you can still try all the methods above.
How much money should I spend on running Facebook or Instagram Ads?
There is no magic number to spend on ads to get this method to work. Simply, you just need to spend enough to enable the Facebook Support chat option so you can speak to a live representative. I spent $5 boosting one post on my Facebook page and that’s all it took. I’ve since not purchased ads.
Do I need to buy ads on Facebook or Instagram?
If you have multiple Instagram accounts, you can try boosting a post on an account that has not been disabled or banned. This will work because no matter what you use, Facebook or Instagram, everything is connected to your Facebook account as far as ads go. If you boost a post on Instagram instead of creating a new page on Facebook, it is still connected to your Facebook account, and thereby, it will enable the Facebook Support feature.
Is there a number you can call on Facebook Support?
No. There is no way to speak to someone on the phone at Facebook support. There is no number to call. If someone knows of a number, please leave it in the comments!
I have heard of stories of people that have gotten their accounts back with Facebook support and the rep has requested to call them. This didn’t happen with me but it’s fine because I got my account back either way.
How many times should I contact Facebook Support?
As per my experience, it took me three times messaging Facebook Support to get the answer I needed. The first two times, I was paired with Facebook support reps that were not able to help me out.
If you’re trying this method, you might get lucky the first go around, or it could take you 10 tries before getting the right answer! I would not abuse the chat feature because you just never know. I would use a golden rule of speaking to three people before waiting a day and resuming. There’s no truth in this but it’s just what I would do.
Sometimes your Instagram account was fully hacked
Sometimes your account was not just suspended by Instagram but completely hacked away by hackers. I’ve seen a few of these instances where hackers actually completely deleted the account. In this situation, it is very difficult to get your account back and Instagram is likely not going to be keen to help you out.
I got my Instagram account disabled, can you help me?
The answer is unfortunately not. I cannot help you besides writing this detailed article breaking down step by step what I did. My Facebook account is only for me so I can’t run ads for anyone else. Simply read through the post and give it a shot. In addition, read through the comments as many people have had success with slightly different methods.
Please leave questions in the comments below
I’ve received many messages on my Instagram account for help with getting your Instagram account back. I can’t promise I can respond to every question in a timely manner.
For the sake of the community, please post your questions on this post using the comments below. Also, if you have had success with your journey, please leave a comment to tell everyone about what your experience entailed. I think everyone will go through a slightly different process in getting their accounts back so it would be great to have data points for everyone!
As well, please ignore any comments that promote contacting someone. These are 100% spam and there is no one that can bring your account back besides yourself. I want the comments to be open and useful but I can’t always catch these spammers right away.
Got my ‘disabled’ account back after 98 days. Many thanks, Johnny!!
Hey Sharon! Congrats! Can u share how you got it all back in the end?
Sure!
2 days after advertising an ad, the chat support option appeared. My first chat didn’t end positively as the support officer said that she couldn’t help since my FB account wasn’t connected to my Instagram account. She mentioned that my only option was to wait for a response from Instagram. However, my chat with the second support officer, Juan, was the complete opposite. Juan said that he would forward my case to the internal team and would get in touch with me with any updates via phone or email. Although I was sceptical about hearing back, less than 7 hours after the chat, I was thrilled to see an email from Facebook sent by Juan (a true legend). The email stated that the internal team responded, “We have restored the account to the original owner and enrolled it into a checkpoint. Please advise the user that to secure their account, they need to follow the required steps sent to their personal device”. After completing the steps on the Instagram app, I regained access to my account after 98 days!!
Once again, thank you for sharing your success story with us, Johnny. Over the past three months, I tried several methods to restore my account (filled up various forms and sent numerous emails); THIS IS THE ONLY METHOD THAT WORKED FOR ME!!
Thanks for the anecdote! Glad it still works in the end!
Hey johnny! I just got off support chat with the second person today (the first one was not helpful at all).
I have HOPE for the first time in 4 months! Just like you I had sent pictures of my ID and countless selfies and had not gotten any answers. After trying with the second support person I got the same message you got: “Thank you so much for waiting with me Lu I really appreciate your patience, I have checked the details for you and I have gone ahead and appealed the account for you. The general time frame is 1-2 business days according to the specialist, if not sooner. As soon as I hear back from my team one of our specialists will be reaching out via email.”
Anyway, I am following yo now even if the IG account is not back up yet just cause I have hope for the first time in 4 months!!
Further details I can add are that the account that was disabled was my personal account, not a buisness account. However, I did appeal from an existing FB buisness page I have had for a long time and I have already spent a lot of money on ads from (so I did not need to wait for the support chat button to appear).
That sounds hopeful! Here’s hoping everything works out for you!
Can you please help me? I am having trouble ????
Hey! Can i please ask what did you message exactly?
Well, I told them that despite filling out the form numerous times over 98 days, neither had I heard back from Instagram nor could I access my account.
Thanking God I escaped from this bad eggs hands. I recently recovered my funds back from a broker that ripped me off, I had to hire a recovery company to get my money back All thanks to Money Recovery Solution that helped me recovered back my funds. Have you ever been scammed before? the Good news is that all hope is not lost because you can still recover back your funds. All you need to do is contact the recovering company via: (CR E D I T S C O R E H A C K E R aT G/M/COM)
Yo whats up,my account got hacked more than a month ago, shit was terrible. The dude stole my identity, bank account and money. I have probably talked to around 5 representatives in that time frame. I waited 2 weeks after talking to the 3rd or 4th since they said there is nothing i can do and i just have to wait for meta to send me an email on how to get back in. I already sent in my face and id weeks ago. Just finished talking to one and she said ¨The Internal Team is still in the process of investigating your case, gathering information and concrete evidence is also a part of this investigation. You will be receiving an update once the investigation is done. The normal turnaround time is 24 to 48 hours. But some case may take longer depending on the complexity of the issue.¨ So i just said alright. You think I should wait awhile again or just get right back in that chat box for someone else. That dude is still just randomly texting people in my account pretending to be me
I have no chat options! I’m so confused
Hey Johnny glad to hear your account came back! Im having trouble getting mine back and have talked to a few representatives.
The hacker had deactived the account demanding money. Its been a week and a half and still nothing so today I decided to reply to the hacker. They messaged me on Whatsapp using my phone details they got from my account
In a few minutes they activated the account as I requested to see the account and it was all there. Then they deactivated again. The support team dont seem to be too helpful at all. Ive been on the phone with them and they said they wished the support would be better for Instagram because they cant see what the instagram internal team can
So messed up sorry to hear. Think wait until their time estimate is up and then message again
Yes that’s what we were thinking as well. Thanks again for your blog ????
Have waited until their time and all the Meta support team members are also lost as how to recover the account. We have tried all the steps with no success ????
The hacker deactivated the account and that seems to have removed all the support from the app itself.
I wonder why the Meta support team can’t help or do anything. The hacker has said he will delete the account in the next 12 hours if I dont pay him.
Hello Johnny wanted to share an update! We finally got our instagram back. Instagram added my phone number back on the account. I was notified through email that my number was added onto my Instagram account
Then an hour later the Instagram team sent a secure link which had me reset the password successfully. I am now able to login with the new password and I also stopped the account from being deleted. The hacker has already set a date for deletion
Just waiting to resolve the two factor authentication issue as it comes up after logging in with password. My codes are not working because the hacker changed the authentication app when they took over.
But at this point my sister and I are very happy to have recovered our hacked instagram! It took 2 weeks overall but that might also be due to me opening multiple tickets as I kept getting support people that didnt escalate my case as needed. It wasn’t until maybe the 6th or 7th time I got a great support person who escalated the case and
Thanks again for your blog. To anyone who have lost their account dont give up!
Hi again! Thanks so much for the detailed recount of your experience. I set up the two factor as soon as I got my account back and i think so far it has been working.
can I do this all from my iPhone like make the account and set it all up ?
Yes? Shouldn’t be a problem via phone
Hi, my Instagram account has been deactivated due to copyright law.
I met you in an article, can you help me?
This account is very important to me
I have tried this once or twice but by the third time I was told because I had a personal account they couldn’t help me, but when I mentioned that I thought it was a business account when I got disabled, she said “if it would be business, we still cannot do anything, because just not so long time ago changed rules on our platform and now we cannot send disabled Instagram account for appeal thought our internal channel.” So, many times I was told I can’t be helped because I had a personal account, but it seems now they just say that to make it seem better that they can’t help even though if you had a business account they still won’t help you. She also told me to just patiently wait because her own personal account was restored in 3 months… Has anyone since reading this actually got their account back? I’m 2 months strong with trying to get my account back but with no luck.. Maybe I just need to wait one more month?
Two and a half months… still appealing everyday. This is so annoying. Its incomprehensible that a multimillion dollar company could really treat their own users with such negligence.
4 months appealing here. Talked with dozens of agents and nothing.
My Instagram was just hacked through my email. I made the mistake of using an old email I hadn’t used in years, and apparently they hacked that email and got into my Instagram that way. So since I have no access to my email, none of instagrams recommendations work. Do you think this method will work for me? How will Facebook support know I’m telling the truth that it’s my account?
Not sure you will have as much luck with this unfortunately since you can’t prove the account is yours since it’s only linked to an old email acct you can’t access.
My account was disabled 6 months, I have tried everything since then, and nothing has worked so far.
My account was mistakenly disabled 6 months ago, I have tried everything since then, and nothing has worked.
I’ve tried this last step and Facebook disabled me from posting ads for using tactics that are intended to circumvent their add review process. It’s really hopless. I am gutted my instgram has gone and I didn’t do anything for them to disable it. How can they do this? All other options just don’t work either. There is literally no way of getting my instgram back
It’s sad, but that’s what they do. And they don’t care. It’s not their account, so they just look at it as just another user. I’ve literally done everything. Over 100 photos holding paper, 100 appeal form submits, spoken directly with someone at Instagram thru email(data method)… and in the end I still don’t have my account back. They don’t even acknowledge the appeal request.. so I don’t know why they ask to fill it out. I’ve already accepted that the account is gone and have stopped trying to get it back at this point. It’s been about 4 months, and no one seems to be getting there’s back either. F*ck Instagram.
Did you use him?! Did it work ?
Thats fake. Stop falling for people that claim they can get your account back. They’re only looking to steal your money. DONT LET YOUR URGE TO HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT BACK MAKE YOU DO SOMETHING FOOLISH LIKE SEND A SCAMMER YOUR MONEY.
I just get in touch with them using this method. But i didn’t need to pay for the advertisement, however, i already have my facebook page account created and linked with my instagran account one year ago.
They said it will send my case to a specialist and ask me about my number and email.
I will wait for 2 days. If nothing happened i will contact them again and again.
How did you get in touch with them? What options did you follow?
I am losing my mind. I am following all of these steps but it looks like Facebook already changed their support page and it no longer leads to a form for contact but just more options. Most pages just lead to something that says “Still Need Help? Contact Support.” with no link? Any idea how to get through to support? Maybe add an update for February if you figure it out? Or am I missing something??
it still shows up on mine?
The option to contact support shows up, but when clicked it’s a completely new UI for me than the one that shows on your blog post. And the only way I can contact support is through “Payment” problems and still struggling to get an accurate response
I’m having the same problem – with it saying still need help? contact support with no link
Hey Johnny. Could you tell me how the third guy was able to help you get your hacked account back? Like what did he sent you as far as links, or what steps did you have to do to unlock your ig, thank you so much !!
He didn’t send me any links. He just merely said it would be back in 24-48 hours. I just waited about 60 hours an it came back on its own. I was ready to send them another message but didn’t ahve to in the end.
Why don’t you remove the comments of the scammers that are claiming they can restore accounts? They’re clearly trying to scam your readers.
I get these multiple times a day and sometimes one falls through the crack
I somehow got through to some messaging system they have now instead of chat! There might be hope!
Could you please guide us tooo
Send through more deets!
First visited this blog about a month ago… and my account is still disabled. I’ve already created a new one, and have managed to get 4.5k followers…. but that doesn’t change the fact that I want my account back!!! How can such a big company be so incompetent? Pedophilia runs rampant on there. Sex bots are sending links and following people a mile a minute. They seem to have no problems keeping their accounts active. But yet they’re deactivating regular user accounts. Really sad times. If I wasn’t actually making good money from instagram, I swear I would just say f*ck them. Thanks for trying to help Johnny, but this method no longer works. People have abused the chat feature, trying 50x in one day… using 0 common sense, and now they’re trained to tell you they have no access to the internal team. So thanks to all you impatient people that don’t like to follow instructions.
You guys can always try the data recovery method to generate a response from an actual human via email, but even they will give you the same response about them not being able to do anything.
Glad to see you got your account back. Instagram is a joke. They’ve chosen to rely on “technology” rather then pay employees to determine when accounts get disabled. There are literally services out there that you can pay to get someone else’s account disabled… Instagram knows about this problem, AND STILL DOES NOTHING!!!!!!!!! Instagram has known about these scam services that exploit their technology and ban peoples accounts for money. They’ve been contacted by reputable tech websites and informed about it, and their reply was there is nothing they can do about it. This leaves me with the thoughts that although this method did work for you and a few others, after reading the comments… people abusing it contacting support 50x in the same day… all that’s going to do is make the method useless. He clearly said only try 2-3 times a day, then wait a day, try another 2-3 times a day
.. but no, people want to blow it up. So no, now the method no longer works. Thanks for trying to help.
Yes this method seems to be no longer working unfortunately. I had 4 agents call me! Just to explain more easily that they are no longer a part of Instagram appeals and can only help with Facebook ads. I guess starting a new account is only thing left to do?
Wow, they actually called you on your phone? I know that had your hopes up. Its really crazy to think this is a multimillion dollar company with such sh*try support. I’ve been without my account for over 2 months.
How were you able to get your following back up?
Hey guys a little update for you. Talked to 5 support agents and in the end they told me that instagram is preparing something for that problem, because the mass of requests is overwhelming for the service and most of them are about hacked or disabled insta accounts. In the meantime there will be only the chance to reach the support via those fill in pages where no one is answering.
No one told them to rely on technology for disabling accounts, rather then keeping regular support people. It shouldn’t matter that Instagram is a free service, they’re making millions of dollars with us on the platform. If it wasn’t for us, there would be no one to watch those ads.
Did they give any information on how long before these new changes will take place? As thus isn’t a new problem, a simple Google search will show this has been going on for over a year.
Got the same response 🙁
The support agent wrote:
“I understand. Upon further investigation, we discovered that the issue you reported is a known situation that the internal team is already aware of. Several of our clients have been going through this ongoing situation. This issue has been forwarded to the right team to be fixed, and now we just need to wait for the result. I understand that is taking its time, but the best option is to wait for the team’s reply.”
Maybe give it a few days before talking to them again. Perhaps you’ll be lucky with a fix but after a week if there’s no response you can probably assume they forgot about it
I amost thought I have lost it forever when my Instagram account got compromised until I was referred to certified__tech01 via Instagram and he recover my account in less than 45 minutes
It’s been 15 days my account has been disabled.. talked to around 50 agents.. everyone has the same reply…
hey Brian! how did you get to a certified tech via Instagram? mahalo in advance
Sorry, this is a spam comment that I didn’t catch (probably get about 10 of these a day). Do not trust this crap!
Hi Johnny,
I got my Instagram account hacked last week and filled out various forms but no response yet. On my fb the link to IG still shows up but it’s broken. After reading your blog, I tried to create an add but don’t see the feature activated yet. IS there any way/hope to recover my account ?
You need to just follow the steps to create an ad on facebook. After that you’ll just need to how for the best!
Only through Facebook? Not Instagram?
Yes only fb because Instagram uses fb support
DM @certified__tech01 via Instagram for support
Thanks for the info Jhonny….I’m currently dealing with this myself and it’s quite frustrating and sad ????
Hey Jhonny, Ciri here again!
I have been totally unable to find anyone useful in the Facebook team. Desperately looking for Adam, but no luck until now. I’ve talked so far with almost 60 agents. So my question is… Can you remember at what time could you find Adam? (New York Time for example). I want to try to connect around that time, although I’m literally in the other part of the globe!
Hey Johnny, I can finally now see the button for interacting with the chat. I submited a question now, but I could only send it as an email not start a live chat. It that because I tried this at night and not at noon or so?
Hmm maybe wait another day or two?
Hi,
I have paid for the ad just today and see the charge on my credit card. However, I don’t see chat option. How long do I have to wait to see the chat option?
Hi Johnny! My account was disabled in September 2021 (almost 5 months ago) for violating community guidelines, supposedly because I downloaded a 3rd party app for viewing unfollows. Since then I have appealed countless times, and been on the support chat for at least 20 times (I do have a business account linked to my FB profile, but it is not linked to my personal Instagram account). A few of the FB support agents have even called me to explain that they do not have the ability to re-enable my account because the Instagram support team is a completely different team and that they do not have the possibility to contact them (which I understand is a lie), and that the best suggestion from them is to wait patiently until I get a response from Instagram support.
Question is – should I create a new FB business account that has the same name as my Instagram account for your suggested solution to work?
Hi Amanda, not sure if creating a new biz account still really change much. Yes my fb and insta pages have the same name but not sure if it is the reason I found success
Hey so I did the ad thing and it’s been two days and I don’t see the contact support button yet, is it a PC only feature? I’ve been using mobile the whole time so

Thank for your help. It has been 2 months my account has been banned and nothing for the moment.
I have contacted them 2 times today, and nothing. Do you think my start message is ok?
Hello,
My Facebook Page is linked to my instagram account I can not access to this instagram account for 2 months.
I think my instagram account have been hacked a few months ago and then perhaps used for something that violated community guidelines.
I would like to use my instagram account to promote my music website, buying ads, like I Do on my Facebook page.
Can you please help me?
Yes that sounds good!
I got my account disabled 2 months ago…I sent the appealing forms a couple of times and of course, no answer.
I finally spoke to someone from Facebook Business, Nate was his name. He said that he understands my situation and that he sent my case to the internal team and that he promises me that they will do their best to solve the situation and that the case is now in review.
One week later, nothing happened so I contacted them again. The girl who answered, told me that indeed my appeal was sent but she is not able to tell me how long is going to take and that there is nothing else I can do right now, besides waiting.
Should I even try chatting with them again? I think there are a few agents that are able to get someone s account back in 48 hours. Nate was helpful and he tried his best but still, nothing happened..
That’s really annoying! Sorry to hear and frustrating that a hacker could take over everything like this. What does meta make you do to prove it’s your account?
hey johnny How long time waiting between the start ad of my page and my ability to contact support facebook?
I’d say anything between 2 days to 1 week
Hi there, I’ve recently experienced the same issue .. Before month ago my IG was disabled and no one actually replied to my appeal. So I already got a page and all I have to was to run some ads like the steps above . After my 12 contact with live chat support I found Adam from Johnny’s third appeal. He send me the same messages and said to keep an eye on my email because he send my case to his specialists. We will see if anything will happen. And if anything positive happens, well I’ll share with all of you . But from my experience for now if you don’t see “Adam has joined you” don’t expect much.. The other representatives just ask you for you insta username and then say they can’t help you and you have already done the best by your appealing. Contact them everyday if there is need to .
Hi mitaka! Glad to hear your experiences! I never thought my “Adam” would be the same in name for others as well. I wonder if it is the same Adam or just another person using this pseudonym. Anyway, keep me posted!
Hi Johnny, here I am after three days . Yes I think it was the same “Adam” because his behaviour was the same . But no one answered to me even day after the time that they gave me (24-48hours) . I still have hope and I think someone will contact me :
Hi mitaka, it did take me about 50 to 60h since I got my account restored. Give it another day or two and then contact them again to check on status.
Hi there again . Nothing happened. The support is absolutely useless and no one wants to help you . At this point I don’t want use their miserable apps because of all this .. Waiting in queue for months and no one providing you any feedback . I’ll give them maybe a week more to see if anything is going to happen and after that I’ll close my accounts by myself. I won’t pay again a penny to these madlads for ads .
My account was hacked in October 2021 going on 5 months
I ran ads previously I have talked to sooo many fb agents that say they are limited + can not help and to wait on ig…smh
I just want my page terminated the hackers are contacting my followers + clients. I posted this page is hacked from my fb business portal + the hackers delete it I’m very much ready to terminate my page + leave IG for good….
Sorry to hear that. It’s really sad to think a company of this size, can be this irresponsible. They make no effort in trying to correct the problem, despite knowing there has been an issue for over a year. It makes you wonder, where is all the money going to if there’s never enough people there? How is the rest of the world back to work, but only instagram is still claiming some bs about being limited? The real problem is there plan failed. There plan was to reduce the amount of employees(which would save them alot of money each year), and really thought they could just rely on “technology” to take care of disabling accounts. This technology has proven time and time again, to not be reliable. I mentioned this in a previous post, the technology is so unreliable that there are hackers selling services to “disable any instagram account for $40″… which they’re all doing by manipulating instagrams weak technology. Instagram knows about this loophole that they’re taking advantage of, and there only reply is there isn’t much they can do. In other words, they don’t care. How can you know scammers are taking advantage of a loophole in your company, exploiting that loophole and making tens of thousands of dollars while innocent people lose their accounts but then have the nerve to say there isn’t anything you can do? They really don’t care. I’m sure so many people wouldn’t have trusted them to store their memories on and to build their businesses, just for the company to turn their back on everyone. Their only concern is trying to compete with tiktok… smh. I can go on for hours, but I’ll stop here. Hope you get your account back.
That’s pretty insane I didn’t know you could pay someone to do that kind of thing to another person but it would make sense why so many people are losing their accounts without any good protocol of getting it back
OMG, I don’t know how to thank you. I’m so happy that I ran into your blog. My IG has been disabled for 2 months and I have sent numerous appeals and mugshots. I started the add on last Tuesday and contacted Facebook on Friday. Only on the second chat, a nice lady helped me out. She followed up the whole thing, send me an email Monday and letting me know my account went to the review. Next day, my account came back and she even notified with an email before I even saw it was back. I ended up spending $5. I guess I was really lucky. Thank you so much ???? @miae_kim_ceramics
Hi miae! This is fantastic to hear your success story! And super lucky you got it done in the second try. Congrats!
Hi Johnny my Instagram got disabled on the 19th of January. I’ve had this account for over 9 years as this is my personal account. I haven’t posted any illegal content nor have I violated any rights.
I got in touch with 5-6 Facebook representatives yesterday and all they told me was to fill in those appeal forms. I’ve explained to them that I have done that but all they keep on saying is that there’s nothing else they can do.
Please advise on what I should do? Is there any chance of getting my account back? Should I just keep on trying until I get a representative that’s helpful?
Hi ayesha, yes keep trying a few more times. I’d cap it at like 5x a day just to be on safe side
Hi Johnny I’m back again. I managed to get into contact with a helpful representative on Friday. They emailed me and asked me to fill in the appeal form and they then said that they will ask the internal team to manually review my account. They did say that they will get back to me in about 24-48 hours. It’s Monday today so I emailed them to ask if they were able to resolve it, but I haven’t gotten a reply. Will they get back to me?
Hey Ayesha, I think it’s 50/50 if they get back to you. They also said 24 to 48h for me and it took about 60h to get the account back and then theyr emailed me to confirm it a day or two after that.
Hello,
I tried this method after many chats with different representatives. Just like you, the first time the person said that I can only submit the forms and she sent me different forms to fill that I knew wouldn’t help much. The second was said that my accounte is personal and they can’t help me but they will make sure they send it to the support team that will contact me on my email and I received an email today telling me that they have a lot of requests but they will contact me soon so i thought that why not try one more time. I did today and the representative asked me to fill a form on facebook submit it and send him a screenshot of the form filled. After this, he called me on my phone number to make sure that everything was clear and he said that he will take the investigation to the support team and then if they find that nothing’s wrong with my account I will be able to get it back soon and he sais that the wait could be up to 70 hours.
I thought I’d share this with you, what do you think based on your experience, am I even close ?
Hey this is definitely positive! Usually when they give some sort of time estimate it sa good thing. Keep us posted on what happens!
Hi johnny, On the 5th of this month my instagram account was disabled and it’s happened before but luckily I got it back with just appealing. But this time around it won’t even let me appeal. I thought you only had 30 days to appeal your account so that’s why I was so scared because I don’t have a lot of time but I seen that you had got your account taken months ago before you got help so I have some hope. So once I run my ad on fb after a few days I should be able to contact them correct?
Yes that’s correct. It is the only way I foudn that worked for me getting myac count back. After sending god knows how many selfies and waiting months for them to do something, I knew it was pointless (and it is) to wait.
Hey Johnny! I followed the steps you said and finally someone helped me. I was told that my account review was placed on the priority list and that I should wait. What do you think this means? And if there is a violation, albeit unknowingly, for example, because of artificial followers, will the Instagram team open my account after reviewing it?
Hi Ezra, I think that is a good sign. Di they give you an ETA? I think even if you had artificial followers, the fact that you are going to them to plead your case will negate that if they find you “innocent”.
Hi Johnny my account has been hacked. I have screenshots of the emails as the person was hacking into my account and changing everything. I’ve tried the selfie video about 10 times with no confirmation, I am now trying your process waiting for the support to become available. Is there any way you can help?
HI Nestacia, unfortunately you’ll just have to wait for the support button to show up after buying ads. It’s the only method i know of that works (the selfie method is completeyl useless).
Johnny I was hacked on Friday and I really want to try to solve this before it gets too far. I’ve set up the account I even have emails of them changing my password and setting up the two step authentication. I would just really love your help anything please.
Hi Stassy, unfortunately you just need to follow the step and trust the process (until something changes which is very likely). There is no dedicated instagram support because it’s a free service after all so you might feel like your whole world has turned upside down but they just see numbers on a spreadsheet. Hope you get your account back!
If its hacked , there is no chance if getting back even if u contact Facebook support chat . I spoke to over 50 agents everybody ! Did over 200 forms . None could help ! Once it’s HACKED and DELETED it’s gone forever ! Make a new one ! This dude is getting y’all hopes up ! Lmao
I never said it was ever a guarantee but I just know talking to fb support will be 100% more effective than taking humiliating selfies and sending it straight to Instagrams recycling bin
Johnny I was hacked by the same people going around getting everyone else. Is there any way you could help me recover my account. It is a little different for me because I don’t have personal pictures on my account, only my highlights. Could you please help me I’ve had that account for 8 years all my family and everything is tied to it, I could honestly cry.
Mine has been hacked also they changed my user name, email and phone number. I have done the phone recognition and it keeps coming back not confirmed. I finally was able to get one they confirmed. They sent a link to change my password then they sent me a code. The code when to the hackers phone. As soon as I said I didn’t try to access my Instagram in Nigeria my account should have been disabled but no they allow them to change everything on me. You would think a company this huge they would have a better security system. They should never allow you to change all your information in one day.
You are the man bro! Without you I would’ve still been without my Instagram. I appreciate you, it took several times to connect with someone who knew where to direct me, but nonetheless i got my account back. Thank You.
Hey mate you got your account back recently?
@ gpropho Can you expand on what you did?
Hi there, my wife’s IG was hacked and taken over and is being used to scam others while pretending to be her. I have a business account on FB that has had multiple ads run over time. I got the option to access the business support center like you showed, but once I get to the Get Support page with all the links on the left, there is no longer a green Contact Advertising Support button. Like they just straight up removed it… I’m at a loss. What do we do now?
Hi Andrea, I just checked my facbeook support again as of today and I still see all the buttons. Maybe try to use another account and run ads again?
Hi there. I’ve tried this message with an already established business account I had that I’ve already run multiple ads for. When finally getting to the Get support page, there is no longer a button on the right to Contact Advertising Support. Like they just straight up removed it…. What do we do now? My wife’s account was hacked and they are using it to scam her friends list.. we can’t wait 3 months for IG to tell us for the third time they won’t be doing anything about it…
Hello,
Does this method work for a personal private account too?
Mine was disabled for violating terms and I tried to fill many demands and sent many pictures but still nothing.
thank you..
Hey rim, yes this will work for personal accounts. Private or not private should not matter.
My Instagram has been disabled since the last 15 days.. I have filled in all the forms but I don’t hear back from Instagram… The last email I received from Instagram stated that I have violated their property and now I am not allowed to use Instagram… What can be done in this case
This is an email from instagram or that’s what fb support told you?
The mail from Instagram stated that
Hey Johnny 🙂 my account was recently disabled last week. I filled out many forms and even replied to the email with the code. I’ve got nothing yet, but I assume my account isn’t gone forever right? Since it allows me to fill in appeals and I get emails back? Thank you
hi Kevyn, No it is not gone. The account def exists in their database. Just follow the steps to talk to fb customer service and pray to the gods for success.
Hi johnny my name is keimyah and I recently got my instagram account disabled on the 5th. I have done so much but no response. I am in need of some serious help. I have done all the appealing but no replies. Facebook is blocked in my house so I am not able to run a ad. I’m hoping that I can pay you the money to run the ad and if you can talk to them for me since I am not able to. I am able to proved any information you need.
Hi johnny, On the 5th of this month my instagram account was disabled and it’s happened before but luckily I got it back with just appealing. But this time around it won’t even let me appeal. does this method work for personal account that is private?
Thank you so much for putting this blog online, it really saved me some nerves 😀 I am trying to get my private IG account back since it’s been hacked and taken over by people who post fraudulent information with my consent.
I set up a business page yesterday and started running an app (ZAR20.00 x 4 days = ZAR80.00 in total). This morning I received a mail confirming my ad is active, the first 20 Rand have been deducted from my bank account as well.
When I go to the Facebook Business Help Center I still don’t see the Get Help function. How long did it take in your case? Was is there as soon as the ad was active or did it take a few days?
I will be very thankful for any kind of information! Thanks Johnny. Greetings from Cape Town!
Hi Liz! I had to wait a few days for it to show up. I’d wait another 3-4 days and see what happens. It is frustrating I know. I think someone is trying to hack my account again too. I just got a notice saying my account was temporaroly suspended for liking photos because I bought likes or followers (which I did not of course)
Hi Liz I’m also based in SA. My personal Instagram account got disabled and I’m trying to get it back. By any chance did you get yours back?
Hi Johnny

I am on the get support page, however it doesn’t have the option to contact support. How do I fix this?
Hi Zara, did you buy the ads? If so, did you wait at last a few days? It shoudl show up after you’ve purchased your ads and it’s charged your credit card.
My account was disabled 2 months ago, and I could not get anything neither from Instagram neither from the Instagram team after paying for the add ???? I think you were super lucky, I’ve talked to 15 different agents already, and they all say that they don’t have any contact since Instagram is “other team” ???? Any extra tip?
Hi Ciri, I think you should ask them and say tha tyour FB and Insta accounts are connected with each other and say that they are for the sam ebusinesses.
They told me they can only do something if my Instagram was a Business account. I’ve been trying to look for Adam, the ultimate homie, but after 30 agents no luck yet ????
Ahh that’s a lie because my account was a personal insta acct and it was fine. It’s not a biz account because I want to have myself covered in the future ha
My account has been mistranslated and Instagram support does not answer me! can you help me?
Hi Johnny. My account got disabled about 2 weeks ago and today I got in contact with a live agent. She told me that my case has been handled over to their Internal Team for review. She also told me that it would take 48 hours for them to get back to me. I am just a bit confused cause I don’t know what this means. Does this mean I will get my account back faster?
Hi hadiya, that’s usually a good sign I would wait the 2 days and even add another day for buffer and then follow up if nothing has changed with the account!
informations offered here are minim. no links to fb support or what links should we follow…
There is no link to fb support because you need to buy ads first and only then does it show up, did you even read the post
Hi Johnny, I have done all of the above, and every agent I’ve come in contact with has not been able to escalate this issue saying they ultimately cannot help with this issue since it is not in their wheelhouse/authority.
Is this not going to be something that works going forward now?
I agree same for me ! Spoke to over 50 agents ! All basically told me the same thing or “keep waiting “ for a response from the Instagram team . It’s been 3 months now for me
Hi Matt, I think it is just a different situation for everyone. Have had others tell me they’ve been successful in recent days so just keep trying and don’t give up yet
Instagram disabled my account for no reason and no response yet from them. I’m so confused right now
Dude I then spoke to atleast 30 agents . They all keep telling me that the username can’t be found , and they all send the help link to fill out the forms in which I already did a million times
Hey mate, if the username can’t be found, it might have been straight up deleted. I’ve heard of this happening in which case they don’t have your stored data at all anymore.
I had spent more then a month and filled 20-30 support requests before I got positive response. So I’d say that this method still works. Thanks!
Fantastic! Thanks for the data point.
Thank you, this worked for me
Glad to hear it!!
was it a personal account? my account is personal and private do you think this method can work for me ?
Yes it works for personal. My insta acct was personal when it was disabled. I’ve since gotten it back of course and now it is a business account!
I haven’t been hacked but have gotten notifications of people trying to sign into my account, so will keep this in my back pocket — thanks for this! I completely disagree with “However, everyone and their mother who aspires to make Instagram fame has purchased likes at some point.” though. I grew my dog’s instagram to 22k all organically and never bought likes and know many others who have not. You know what they say about assuming…. 😉
Yes you’re absoluteyl right! Not trying to downplay the people that take the time and effort to build up their accounts but I was just trying to emphasize that it is totally normal and a huge business for people of all accoutn sizes to buy likes. I would wager that the vast majority of big accounts have purchased likes or followers at some point.
Instagram disabled my account for no reason and no response yet from them. I’m so confused right now
I couldnt reply to you email, as i kept getting undelivered message. so im replying here.
I found this article on google search while typing : Disabled instagram account, and look at the recent posts.:)
THanks for your reply. Yeah, I will follow that up. But in general, the tip with facebook ad and facebook support team, gave me a hope that i will get my account back. Its my personal account and i only interact with friends and family so find it super weird it has been disabled. But fingers crossed i will get it back
p.s. i sent already around 20 selfies holding a code and lets face it, nobody from instagram team check them… ha ha ha
Hi Johnny. Great overview. I followed your advices and buy Facebook ad. the first person i apoke to was alreasy super helpful and escalated my isse. That was 4 days ago tho and i still have no update. Did they sent you the update via email and how did you find out your account has been reactivated? thanks
Hi jowita, I actually just kept refreshing the url on my old Instagram account and one day it just reappeared! I got an email from them two days after I saw this. I actually sent them a follow-up email when I saw my acct reopened just to make sure it was the real thing. I don’t think sending a follow-up message would hurt?
Johnny can’t I just pay you to help me get my Instagram account back. You can message me on @ncmakeup_1
So happy I stumbled across this post and innovative approach to getting thru to some actual help. Unfortunately I followed all your steps and the live chat option never revealed itself. I ended up just having to submit a business ad account support ticket and I made my plea there. The person who replied was super friendly in written form and even told me that the Internal Team was already working on my account review. But that was 6 days ago and still nothing is back up. She did caution against submitting multiple appeals, so this is incredibly hard just sitting around doing nothing. 🙁
Unfortunately, I think if it’s been a week and there’s been no response it’s probably lost somewhere in the FB/Insta support void. Can you follow up on the ticket and ask abotu the status of the inquiry?
