All travelers with an open mind should love adventurous travel destinations. Tanzania, in particular, is an exquisite place to explore. Its incredible culture and abundant wildlife will most likely exceed all your expectations. There are so many things one can do and see in Tanzania, starting from admiring the abundant wildlife all the way to exploring theincredible natural wonders on site. The Great Rift Valley in Lake Manyara National Park, the Cradle of Mankind, and the Serengeti are just some of Tanzania’s finest places to see.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro is one of the world’s largest and most impressive calderas that’s not a lake. Its walls are between 400 and 600 steep, and as you go down the caldera you’ll come across a wealth of open grasslands and swamps. Ngorongoro Crater is an impressive natural wonderland packed with hippos, elephants, all kids of different predators. Travelers fascinated by Tanzanian wildlife will have the time of their life admiring this place. Nearly 20% of zebras and wildebeest migrate every year between the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. That’s because there’s a lot of water due to the permanent springs.
Serengeti National Park
Home to the world’s finest and most impressive wildlife-watching destination in the world, the Serengeti National Park is truly breathtaking. Serengeti’s vast plains, all-natural mystery and beauty, and ultimately, astounding variety of wild animals will simply take your breath away. The wildebeest are the most numerous; nearly 1.5 million populate the Serengeti, making the migration a top activity highly preferred by most travelers. The park is additionally famous for its predators; the lions, in particular, are one of a kind. Among other species of animals, we should also mention the leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and zebras.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire is Africa’s most underrated parks. Located in close proximity to Ngorongoro and Serengeti, the park packs lots of beautiful elephants (probably the largest concentration in the world), wild lions, and fascinating zebras. The scenery almost never stays the same, and everywhere you look at any hour of the day, you’ll see incredible landscapes that will just take your breath away. The Tarangire ecosystem is diverse, and even though you won’t see that many cheetahs and leopards, you should know that they’re there. To get a closer glimpse, the best thing that you can do is engage in a guided safari tour. In case you’re an avid birdwatcher, you should know that Tarangire boasts over 450 different species; some of them are the rarest on Earth, meaning that you won’t have another chance to see and admire them.
Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park
Opened in 1977, Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park has quickly become a highly preferred travel destination by the most adventurous. However, in spite of its imposing allure, the park is not necessarily acclaimed for its wildlife, but rather for its sights from up the mountain. Furthermore, Kilimanjaro is one of the highest volcanoes on the planet. On your way to the top, you’ll come across the most alluring vegetation, including alpine meadows and lush rainforests. Inside the forests, the stunning elephants, buffaloes, monkey and leopards will simply take your breath away.
Tanzania is special, regardless of the season or weather conditions. Nearly a third of this spectacular and vast country is protected by UNESCO. The wildlife, the vegetation, the surrounding attractions, and ultimately, the experience, are all you need to benefit from most memorable Tanzania safaris experiences of your life. The natural beauties of the countries are endless. Wherever you look there’s some sort of natural habit to gaze at and admire; whether we’re taking about the animals, the vegetation, the people, or their customs and traditions. Enjoy the experience to the fullest, because Tanzania is not a country you get to see very often.
Zanzibar’s Stone Town
Located on the western side of Unguja Island, Zanzibar Town is a core attraction in Tanzania that avid travelers will adore. Creek Rd separates the famous Stone Town from the Ng’ambo, an area packed with apartment blocks, offices and busy neighborhoods. Stone Town portrays Zanzibar’s cultural history, and from the moment you arrive you’ll be astounded by the Persian bathhouses and traditional buildings populating the area.
