Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours learning about investing, long-term wealth building, and what it really takes to reach financial independence. But for me, the journey was never just about hitting a number. It was about creating freedom, optionality, and a life designed on my own terms.
Today, I’m financially independent, no longer tied to a traditional career, and living the kind of location-independent lifestyle I envisioned for years before I pulled the trigger. I’ve spent years traveling, living abroad, and building a life that reflects what I always wanted life after work to feel like. If you’re somewhere on that path, whether you’re just getting started, already investing seriously, or getting close to FIRE, I can help you think through both the financial side and the lifestyle side of the journey.
Why I Offer Financial Independence Consulting
There’s no shortage of information online about investing, index funds, withdrawal rates, and FIRE. The real problem for most people is not a lack of information, it’s too much information, coming from too many directions.
What many people need is a clearer framework, a second set of eyes, and a more grounded conversation about what actually matters. That’s what I want to offer here.
I’m not approaching this from the perspective of a traditional retirement planner helping people work until 65 and then stop. I’m approaching it from the perspective of someone who spent years building toward financial independence and then actually stepping into a life designed around freedom, travel, and choice. I lead by example and my example is the life I’ve been able to create.
Don’t believe me? Read my monthly portfolio updates where I discuss how my portfolio is doing, expenses & withdrawals, travels, and other general life ponderings.
How It Works
Most people who reach out fall into one of three groups: they’re learning the basics of investing, they’re already on the path to FIRE and want a second set of eyes on their plan, or they’re getting close to financial independence and want to think more intentionally about what life afterward could look like.
All phases come with their own challenges and often times, the solution is to talk to a real human being instead of attempting to absorb countless amounts of information online.

We Talk
We’ll have a focused one-on-one consultation around your biggest questions.

Build Clarity
You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what to focus on and how to move forward.
Why Work With Me
There are plenty of people online talking about investing and FIRE. What makes this different is that I’ve built my own life around these ideas.
Services & Pricing
Everyone is at a different stage in their financial journey. Some people are just getting started and want to understand the basics of building wealth. Others already have a portfolio, understand the markets, and want help refining their path to financial independence. And for many people approaching FIRE, the biggest questions are no longer just about money — they’re about what life can actually look like after the career chapter ends.
That’s why I offer three different consultation options depending on where you are in the process. Whether you want to better understand long-term investing, pressure-test your FIRE strategy, or think more intentionally about the lifestyle you want to build after financial independence, I can help you create more clarity around the next step.
These consultations are designed to be practical, honest, and tailored to your stage of the journey. My goal is not to overwhelm you with jargon or theory, but to help you think more clearly, avoid common mistakes, and make better decisions with more confidence.

Post-FIRE Lifestyle
If you’re early in your journey, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the amount of financial information online. Between YouTube, Reddit, blogs, podcasts, and social media, you can quickly end up with too many opinions and not enough clarity. Terms like ETFs, index funds, taxable brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, diversification, and asset allocation get thrown around constantly, but many people still don’t feel like they have a strong grasp of how it all fits together.
That’s where this session comes in.
This consultation is designed to help simplify the investing world and give you a clearer framework for how long-term investing typically works. We can talk through the core ideas that matter most, help you understand the differences between various account types, and discuss how to think about building a portfolio in a way that fits your goals, timeline, and comfort with risk.
The focus here is not on trying to get rich quickly or chase the latest trend. It’s about developing a solid foundation, understanding how investing works over the long run, and building confidence in your approach. If you’ve been wanting to invest but feel unsure, or if you’ve already started but want to make sure you understand what you’re doing, this is the consultation for you.
This is a good fit if:
- You are new to investing or still building confidence
- You want to understand the basics in plain English
- You feel overwhelmed by too much conflicting information online
- You want a clearer framework before making long-term decisions
- You want to better understand how portfolios are typically structured
Topics we can cover:
- The basics of long-term investing
- Index funds, ETFs, and portfolio simplicity
- Diversification and asset allocation
- Retirement accounts vs taxable accounts
- Risk tolerance and time horizon
- Common beginner mistakes and what to avoid
Investment Fundamentals Consulting
- 1:1 consultation call
- Investing basics explained simply
- Diversification and allocation overview
- Portfolio framework discussion
- Q&A tailored to your stage
This consultation is for people who are already on the path to FIRE and want help refining, auditing, or pressure-testing their plan.
You may already have a portfolio, understand the basics of investing, and have spent years saving aggressively. You likely have a rough idea of your FIRE number, your expected spending, and the kind of timeline you are working toward. But once you get deeper into the process, the questions become more nuanced.
Am I being too conservative or too aggressive?
Does my current plan actually hold together?
Am I overlooking something important?
Is my target realistic for the lifestyle I want?
What would I change if I wanted to speed this up or make it more resilient?
This consultation is built around those kinds of questions.
The goal here is to take a step back and look at your FIRE path more strategically. We can talk through your portfolio at a high level, your assumptions around spending and timelines, and whether your overall plan feels coherent and realistic. If you already have a good understanding of the mechanics, sometimes the most valuable thing is simply having someone knowledgeable help you stress-test the big picture and identify weak points before they become costly mistakes.
Financial Independence Consulting
- 1:1 consultation call
- FIRE plan review
- Savings and spending discussion
- Portfolio and strategy audit
- Clearer plan of attack
This consultation is for people who are approaching FIRE, nearly there, or already asking the bigger question: what does life actually look like after I no longer need to work?
In my opinion, this is one of the most overlooked parts of the entire financial independence journey. A lot of people spend years focused on the numbers — the portfolio target, the annual spending figure, the withdrawal strategy, the timeline. But much fewer people spend serious time thinking about what they are actually building toward. What happens when the structure of a traditional job disappears? Where do you want to live? What do you want your ideal week to feel like? What gives your life purpose, rhythm, challenge, connection, and enjoyment once you are no longer organizing your life around work?
That’s what this consultation is about.
As someone who is financially independent and has already made that transition, I can speak not only to the financial side of the journey, but also to the lived reality of what comes after. I’ve spent years traveling, living around the world, and building the kind of life I had imagined before I pulled the trigger. I currently live in Bali and have had the chance to shape my days around freedom, travel, lifestyle design, and intentionality rather than office routines and career ladders.
There is no one size fits all to this. What worked for me might not work for you. However, I firmly believe having inspiration and leading by example would have helped me greatly in my own journey.

The Basics of Long-Term Investing
Long-term investing is not about finding the perfect stock, timing the market, or constantly reacting to headlines. For most people, it is about building a sensible plan, staying diversified, and giving compounding enough time to do its work. A good long-term investment strategy is usually less about complexity and more about consistency, patience, and understanding the handful of core principles that actually matter.

Asset Allocation
One of the most important ideas in investing is asset allocation. This simply means how you divide your portfolio among different asset classes such as stocks, bonds, and cash. That mix should reflect your personal goals, time horizon, and comfort with risk.
Someone investing for a goal that is decades away will often be able to take on more stock exposure than someone who expects to need the money in the near future. There is no single perfect allocation for everyone, which is why investing should always be grounded in your own situation rather than someone else’s template.

Diversification
The next big idea is diversification. Diversification means not putting all of your eggs in one basket. It is not enough to simply own multiple investments if they all behave the same way or are exposed to the same underlying risks. True diversification means spreading your money across different asset classes and also within those asset classes. In practical terms, that can mean broad exposure across geographies, company sizes, sectors, and different types of fixed income rather than concentrating too heavily in a single name, industry, or theme.

Rebalancing and Discipline
Another core principle is rebalancing. Over time, markets move and portfolios drift. A portfolio that started as 70% stocks and 30% bonds may look very different after a few strong market years. Rebalancing is the process of bringing the portfolio back toward its intended mix. In simple terms, it forces discipline: trimming what has run up and adding to what has lagged. That may feel counterintuitive in the moment, but it helps manage risk and keeps the portfolio aligned with the reason it was built in the first place.
What FIRE Actually Means
FIRE stands for Financial Independence, Retire Early, but the idea is bigger than the acronym. At its core, FIRE is about building enough financial strength that work becomes optional earlier than the traditional retirement timeline. For some people, that means leaving full-time work altogether. For others, it means shifting into lower-stress work, passion projects, part-time income, travel, or a more intentional way of living. The real goal is not simply to stop working as fast as possible. The deeper goal is to create more control over your time, energy, and life direction.
For some people, FIRE means leaving full-time work altogether. For others, it means shifting into lower-stress work, part-time work, passion projects, or a different style of living. The point is not just early retirement for the sake of it — it’s financial flexibility and life flexibility.
Increase income where possible.
The first step of FIRE always starts with earning income. Maximize your income through finding better jobs, side hustles, and anything in between.
Build a high and sustainable savings rate.
Maximizing your savings rate is key to FIRE. There’s a difference between rich and wealthy after all. Your savings rate will ultimately determine your speed and trajectory to achieving FIRE.
Put capital to work over the long term.
Investing in the capital markets is the most important factor to achieve FIRE. Compound is called the “8th wonder of the world” for a reason. With S&P returning 8-9% and the Nasdaq returning 10%+ over the past few decades, it’s almost impossible to achieve FIRE without a proper investment plan.
Use financial independence to create more freedom over your life.
Retire to something. Enjoy your life
Building The Life You Want Post FIRE
One of the biggest mistakes people make on the path to financial independence is spending years obsessing over the number while barely thinking about the life that comes after it. Hitting a FIRE target can absolutely create freedom, but freedom by itself is not a plan. Once the structure of a traditional career is gone, bigger questions start to matter more:
Where do you want to live? What do you want your days to feel like? Who do you want to spend time with? What gives you energy, purpose, challenge, and connection? Those questions are every bit as important as portfolio construction.
That is why I believe post-FIRE planning should include more than financial projections. It should also include lifestyle architecture. Think about the rhythm of your ideal week. Think about where you feel most alive.
For me, the most important mindset shift is this: don’t just retire early — retire to something. Retire to a place that inspires you. Retire to a daily rhythm that feels healthy and expansive. Retire to relationships, projects, travel, service, adventure, peace, or whatever makes life feel meaningful to you. Financial independence gives you the freedom to ask bigger questions. The real opportunity is using that freedom to build a life you are genuinely excited to wake up to.

FAQ
Is this personalized financial advice?
No. These consultations are for educational and informational purposes only. I can share perspectives, frameworks, and general strategic ideas, but I am not providing individualized investment, tax, or legal advice.
Who is this for?
This is for people who want help with investing basics, people already working toward FIRE, and people who want to think seriously about what life after financial independence can look like.
Do I need to be close to FIRE for this to be useful?
Not at all. The Investment Fundamentals option is especially useful for people who are early in the journey.
Can you review my current FIRE plan?
Yes — at a high level. I can help you think through assumptions, structure, priorities, and possible blind spots.
What makes your approach different?
I’m not only interested in how people build wealth. I’m equally interested in how they use that wealth to build a more intentional life. You’re speaking with someone that’s been through the process and achieved his financial goals and living the life he wanted to after FIRE. I’m not someone that will just regurgitate information from a PowerPoint presentation. I’m more interested in first hand experience, personal connection, and what drives you.
